Photomontage Dissected from the moving images of cinema and television and then recomposed into intriguing loops of time, Photomontage is a series of small works by Shirin Kouladjie of sound-byte-timing and visual complexity. With repetitious elements and movement exaggerated, the results are strangely intimate loops of hypnotic media experience. A marbled sun with solar flares, or a small boy underwater who leaves the camera to take a breath, the scenes of Photomontage repeat in mesmerising fashion and often overlap, suggesting pieces of a slightly surreal whole.
