I'm OK, You're OK

I imagine I don’t get it

Written by Tao Wells

The shame here is not that Mark White is confused, it’s that we won’t know what to make of his confusion. He knows there is something to complain about, that there is a fire going on probably in a basement where he could be, but how to get there, and then there is the problem of Why. You see while conquering and enslaving others comes naturally (am I only democratic, therefore only capitalist) there is a nagging that accompanies conscious thought that you are doing it wrong. OK I will take responsibility and take power from others so that I will set up my life in the best possible way. But will this really be the best thing in the long run? I need to examine my sculptures of the everyday.

Mark needs an audience but not the public, weird. (good.) He’ll stop if you go home, strange. (good.) He’s in danger of not existing if he steps outside the power of being white, male and handsome. He may want to yell, “the face of public will stop existing DO YOU HEAR ME PUBLIC.” (good, let’s hate him.) There’s a tradition to think of and it will really do the thinking for you. (think Business, feel Marketing.) Frustrating for a gifted dancer, a natural performer (YOU ARE). Awake conquering enslaving himself he’ll turn on and drop out a sculpture. Yes, our (white) Mark has designed itself the strange question. There’s no fire, he didn’t make it (he made it to the fire), he didn’t make it (HE MADE THE FIRE). Just run in the direction of the columns of smoke, you believe them right? Got nowhere to go. Got nowhere to be. So he’s gonna watch him self fall over. It’s a shame. Don’t watch. (LETS, and pull apart the actions of the everyday.)
