Schaeffer Lemalu presents new painting work at Window. His abstractions are experimental and subtle, the viewing experience varying with the movements of natural light. Schaeffer jumps from the tonally understated to the tonally disruptive; there's a clue here that this formal aesthetic distinction isn't really so distinct.

Nell May's online work catalogues some of her recent drawing and design work that explores the nature of skill in art practice. Nell similarly exercises in colour and understatement, here through slight variation across measured experiments and moonlighting in coolly methodical painting.
